The McMurray Métis are preparing to host their 12th annual Elder’s Christmas Gathering.
The annual event is free to all Métis and First Nation elders in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
This year’s gathering will be held on December 2nd at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre with doors opening at 5:30 pm.
The Elders will be treated to a Christmas dinner, gifts, door prizes, and a visit from Santa.
Entertainment will include live music performed by popular country, rock and fiddle combo Desjarlais and Company from Lac la Biche and a dance performance by Conklin Jiggers.
Mayor Melissa Blake, MLA Tany Yao, former McMurray Metis local presidents and Industry partners will be in attendance.
