More than 1,200 people gathered for a black-tie event that helped raise $430,000 for Keyano College.

The Keyano College Foundation Gala was held on Saturday, when Canadian singer Corey Hart took the stage to perform hits such as “Sunglasses at Night.”

It’s not the only event the foundation is using to fund programming, athletics, theatre and facility upgrades. Officials announced they’re in the midst of organizing the One on One Banquet which brings a roster of NHL Hall of Famers to Fort McMurray.

Original Six players from the 1970s who will be there include the Chicago Blackhawks’ Bobby Hull, the New York Yangers’ Brad Park and Marcel Dionne of the Detroit Red Wings. Gerry Cheevers, Yvan Cournoyer and Darryl Sittler will also be at the event.

The March 12, 2015 event will benefit Keyano College athletics.
