Contraband tobacco products seized in Fort McMurray

A Fort McMurray man is facing charges after investigators seized contraband shisha, chewing tobacco and cigars.

Investigators grabbed 144 kilograms of the products in September and October during three separate busts.

The AGLC says more than $32,000 in tax revenue from the products could have been lost. Last week, Ebrahim Alshihabi appeared in a Fort McMurray courtroom to face several charges.

Suspects were also arrested and charged in Grande Prairie and Calgary.
