The downtown Safeway was reopened after a bomb threat early this afternoon.
At about 12:15 this afternoon, initial police scanner reports said a caller demanded cash from a store manager and said there was a bomb inside the Franklin Avenue store.
Wood Buffalo RCMP evacuated everyone inside and blocked off all the entrances to the area. Members determined there was no explosive residue inside.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the detachment.
