Some municipal departments are being moved so staff don’t get stuck in the cold.
On Nov. 29, serious boiler problems caused the heating system to fail at the RMWB’s Hardin Street building. Temperatures dropped inside the building, making it work unbearable for staff.
It impacted Human Resources, Engineering, Information and Advisory Services, Public Operations and the Municipal Auditor’s Office.
Crews are in the middle of repairs and mitigation. Officials say services aren’t impacted and operations continue as normal.
