The mass demolition and clean-up contract has been awarded to a local company.

Fort McMurary First Nation #468 (FMFN 468) announced on its Facebook that their joint venture Christina River Construction (CRC)  was the successful bidder.

The decision was made at the end of a competitive bidding process conducted by Specialized Property Evaluation Control Services Limited (SPECS) on behalf of insured homeowners.

“I along with others members of FMFN 468, have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact the wildfires had on our great city and in the region,” Said Chief Ron Kreutzer, “We have no illusions about the magnitude of the job that lies ahead.”

FMFN 468 is both honoured and proud to have been provided the opportunity and responsibility to contribute and support reconstruction and recovery efforts alongside other local, invested individuals who are determined to restore Fort McMurray.
