Red hot Huskies face tough test this weekend in Edmonton

The Keyano Huskies continue their regular season ACAC schedules over the weekend as the soccer and volleyball teams take to action.

The Huskies men’s soccer team has been red hot this season leading up to the National Championship which they will host later this year. The Huskies, who have a perfect 8-0 record, have only allowed four goals against while scoring 28.

The Huskies currently hold the ACAC men’s soccer record of most consecutive wins without a loss in (carry over) regular season play with 30 games. The last time the Huskies lost an ACAC regular season game was September 29, 2013 in a 2-0 score against the MacEwan University Griffins.

The Huskies will be on the road when they take on the 5-3 Concordia University Thunder in Edmonton.

While the men’s team has been dominant, the women’s has been the exact opposite. The women’s Huskies team has allowed 36 goals this season while only scoring four. They will join the men’s team in Edmonton to take on Concordia University. Kickoffs for all four games will be at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Over at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Center, the Keyano Huskies men’s volleyball team who sit at 2-0 will take on the undefeated University of Alberta Augustana Vikings. Shortly before the men take the court, the women will also host the Vikings in a battle of the win-less. First serve for their respective matches will be at 6 and 8 pm on Friday and 1 and 3 Tpm on Saturday.
