Santa Claus is coming back to town for the annual parade and Lights of Christmas

Put yourself on Santa’s Nice List by registering a float or volunteering for the December 3rd Santa Claus Parade and Lights of Christmas celebration.

Registration is now open for the family-friendly tradition that returns to Franklin Avenue following last year’s successful celebrations which included 55 floats and more than 60 volunteers and drew 8,000 spectators.

“The Santa Claus Parade and Lights of Christmas is a wonderful family-friendly tradition in Wood Buffalo,” said Mayor, Melissa Blake. “There are many ways that residents can help to make it an evening to remember, so we encourage everyone to visit our online registration page and take part.”

The theme this year is “Santa’s Worskshop” and will kick off with the Lights of Christmas at 5:30 p.m. at Jubilee Plaza followed by the parade at 6:30 p.m. on Franklin between Reidel and Morrison.
