First-ever Home Builder Expo coming to 2016 Christmas Show

If you are building or renovating your property, you will have a new opportunity to connect with local builders at a new three-day Home Builder Expo during the 2016 Christmas Show and Marketplace, this upcoming November 25th-27th at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre.

“The Home Builder Expo is another great opportunity to bring local businesses and residents together over the common goal to rebuild our community,” said Mayor Melissa Blake. “Our aim is to support our local and regional businesses and give residents easier access to local products and services to help them build, rebuild or renovate their homes.”

If you sign up for the full three-days of the tradeshow by November 10th, the Home Builder Expo committee will waive the cost to participate.  After that point, remaining space will be available to companies outside of our region. All vendors must be listed on the new builder registry with Municipal Affairs.

Organizers are also offering booths of varying sizes to accommodate as many builders as possible, but locations will be based on request and on a first come first serve basis.

If you are interested in a booth, you can apply online.

“The Home Builder Expo is a first for us and gives the local build community a unique opportunity to meet residents and potential customers face-to-face, and showcase their skills and services,” said Denise Barrow of the Fort McMurray Tourism Association. “The idea for the Builder Expo came from both attendees and vendors during the YMM Home Show in August and we are pleased to help make it happen!”

The Home Builder Expo has been made possible thanks to Wood Buffalo Economic Development in partnership with Fort McMurray Tourism and financial support from the Government of Alberta.
