The Fort McMurray AA Barons resumed their respective regular season schedules on home ice over the weekend.

Bantam AA Barons

The Bantam AA Barons continued to be a force atop the Black Division as they rolled over the Whitecourt Wolverines to improve to (16-6-0) in outscoring the Wolverines (5-13-2) 18-5 in two games.

The Barons were once again led by Max McCoy who had two goals and two assists in game one. Seven different Barons players scored in what turned out to be a 10-2 result in game one.

In game two, it was much of the same as the Barons erupted for eight goals. This time, it was Dylan Remillard who paced the Barons with two goals and one assist.

Barons star Max McCoy now has 49 points through just 22 games.

Midget AA Barons

Despite a 37 save performance from Gage Cook, the Midget AA Barons dropped game one of their weekend set with the Sturgeon Sting 4-2.

Both Spencer Kelloway and Patrick Polistena scored in the loss.

In game two, the Barons found the back of the net five times, but a first period in which the Sting scored three goals proved too much for the Barons as the teams ended game two in a 5-5 tie.

Patrick Polistena notched two goals for the Barons (3-15-6) as he tallied point 22 and 23 on the season so far in 24 games.

With the one loss and one tie, the Barons remained in the basement of the Bouchier Division and sit 10 points back of the NEBC Yukon Trackers.
