Councillor Tyran Ault won’t be seeking re-election or running for Mayor in the upcoming municipal election.
Ault announced his decision on a Facebook post, he plans to use the time away from politics to focus more on his family and personal life.
He says his decision to not run again doesn’t mean he will be taking it easy for the remainder of the term, he will continue to push for fiscal responsibility, better basic services and taking care of the residents.
“While growing up here, it was always my dream to be making a difference as a Councillor, the Mayor or another level of government. I’m glad I was able to accomplish part of that goal with the support of so many,” he wrote.
Ault has held a seat on council for the last three and a half and has lived in the RMWB for 27.
