Women’s Basketball

The Keyano Huskies women’s basketball team have their eye on the playoffs and with just one win this weekend, that is exactly where they will be heading.

The Huskies (13-9) are getting set to host the (5-17) Kings University Eagles.

The Huskies and Eagles have hooked up twice this season with the Huskies rolling over the Eagles in both games.

In game one, the Huskies won 71-36 and followed that up with a 92-45 win.

The eight-team ACAC Championships this year will be held in Lethbridge.

Men’s Basketball

The Keyano Huskies men’s basketball team will not qualify for the playoffs, but this weekend they will attempt to finish off the campaign with four straight wins.

In a season that has seen its fair share of ups and downs, the Huskies (7-15) are getting set to also welcome the Eagles (3-19) to the Syncrude Sport & Wellness.

Last time these two teams battled, the Eagles came out with two wins by a combined eight points including a thrilling 94-89 overtime win.

Home court has not been too friendly to the Huskies so far this season as they sport a 2-8 record at the Sport & Wellness.

Tip-off for the women is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, February 17 and 1 p.m. on February 18.

The men will follow with their tip-off at 8 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the 17 and 18 respectively.
