Peewee AA

After losing 9-4 on Saturday evening, the Fort McMurray Peewee AA Barons picked one point in a 6-6 tie in game two.

On both nights, the Barons found ways to get the puck in the back of the net, but their defense struggled at times which resulted in just one of a possible four points.

The Barons were led in game two by Carter Breen who had two goals.

The Barons actually took the lead into the third period but relinquished that halfway through the frame in a 6-6 tie.

The Barons (8-16-4) remain in fifth spot in the Black division, while Whitecourt sits in second spot comfortably with a (16-11-1) record.

Midget AA

The Midget AA Barons (5-18-7) also played host to the Whitecourt Wolverines (22-6-1) over the weekend.

However, the Barons showed no match for the first place Wolverines and lost both games 6-1 and 3-0 respectively.

The Barons will hit the ice two more times this season with both of them being next weekend on the road.
