Peewee AA

After grabbing one of a possible four points last weekend, the Fort McMurray Peewee AA Barons will look to improve their (8-16-4) record when they hit the road for two games this weekend.

In their biggest weekend of the season so far, the Barons will open up the trip against the (0-30-0) Peace River Tire Colts. Then on Sunday, February 26, the Barons will continue down the road against the Grande Prairie Minhas Trucking Bros Knights. Entering this weekend, the Barons sit just five points behind the Knights for the fourth spot in the Black conference

Brett Boucher and Carter Breen have been the primary source of offense for the Barons as they have 49 and 43 points respectively, while Carter Spirig is not far behind with 37.

Puck drop for the Barons and Colts is set for February 25 at 2:45 p.m. and Sunday morning against the Knights at 10:00 a.m.

Bantam AA

After getting last weekend off, the Bantam AA Barons are also getting set for two games on the road this weekend.

The Barons (20-7-1) are getting set to take on the (3-21-5) SSAC Anderson Hockey, before battling with the top-ranked team in the Red conference being the (21-5-3) St Albert Elite Sportswear Blues.

To remain in first after this weekend, the Barons will have to come out firing on all cylinders as they sit just four points ahead of GPAC Coyote North Ltd Storm for the top spot in the Black conference.

Barons Max McCoy remains atop the league in points with 61 of them through just 28 games while being sent to the penalty box just once.

Puck drop for the Barons and Anderson Hockey is set for February 25 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday morning against the tough Blues at 10:45.

Midget AA

It’s been a tough year for the Midget AA Barons as they sit at the bottom of the Bouchier division with a 5-18-7 record, but they will look to finish off the regular season on a strong note as they also hit the road for a pair of games.

Overall, the Barons will have to play their best hockey of the season this weekend, as they face two teams with a combined record of (34-20-6) in SSAC Lakewood Chevrolet, and the St Albert Source for Sports Crusaders.

The Barons kick off their quick two games in less than 18 hours on February 25 in St Albert. They will then continue on the road to finish the season against SSAC Lakewood Chevrolet.

Patrick Polistena continues to lead the Barons with 28 points.
