Students and staff will be returning to Good Shepherd School this fall.
The Fort McMurray Catholic School District (FMCSD) announced that Good Shepherd will open for the 2017/18 school year.
As for the Elsie Yanik Catholic School in Parsons Creek it received considerable damage from the wildfire and will not open until 2018.
Students from the Parsons Creek subdivision will continued to be bused to St. Anne School for the 2017/18 school year.
The status of Father Beauregard continues to be under review. Families are invited to a meeting on March 7, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Father Turcotte School to discuss the possibility of Father Beau being open this fall.
