RCMP respond to shots fired

On March 23 at 1:30 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to reports of gunshots that were fired in a residential area of Gregoire Lake First Nations Reserve. Witnesses reported that a newer grey, four-door car with green lettering on the license plate may have been involved.

The gunshots did not occur anywhere near the school, and the RCMP at this time said that there is no indication of threats towards the school or the general public and the RCMP is actively investigating.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

If you see a vehicle that matches the description, you are being asked to contact the Wood Buffalo RCMP immediately as the occupants should be considered armed.
