At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road will close for the remainder of the season.
Warmer temperatures have caused the ice to melt that has resulted in rough road conditions and unsafe driving conditions.
The gates for the winter road will be locked on Monday, March 27, and motorists will no longer be able to access the road.
As of March 25, all winter roads and trails will be closed.
