One man charged with trafficking cocaine

One man has been arrested and is being charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Ashley Roach was arrested in a parking lot on Signal Road on March 21, 2017 by the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section around 8:30 p.m.

He was allegedly in possession of 10 grams of cocaine and other items related to drug trafficking.

On March 22, 2017 the drug section executed a search warrant at a residence on Stroud Bay, which was associated to Roach.

RCMP members found another 21 grams of cocaine and moreĀ items related to drug trafficking.

Roach is also facing five counts of failure to comply with release conditions.

He will remain in custody until his court date on March 28, 2017.
