Fees waived for disposal of acceptable contaminated soil

Homes in the wildfire damaged areas of the community can now dump their acceptable contaminated soil for free.

Effective immediately all fees at the landfill associated with the disposal of the soil will be waived until December 31, 2018 and all fees that have been paid to date will be refunded.

Property owners and contractors hauling soil will be asked to provide a declaration to the landfill that shows where the soil originated from.

Waiving these fees will help decrease the overall cost of recovery for the owners of properties destroyed and damaged by the wildfire.

Residents who are hauling soil from the outside the wildfire damaged areas will be required to follow regular disposal guidelines.
