Communities in Bloom returns to the RMWB

The Municipality and Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom is inviting residents and business owners to beautify their properties and participate in this year’s summer programs.

“Nominate Your Neighbour and the Business Beautification Program are two great ways to help make our community beautiful as a whole,” said Julie Moretto, Communities in Bloom committee member. “With the national Communities in Bloom judges visiting on July 20 and 21, we encourage all residents and business owners to help beautify our neighbourhoods and say “thank you” to our region’s many gardeners.”

The annual summer edition of Nominate Your Neighbour is now accepting nominations of residential homes that demonstrate great landscaping, floral displays or ornamental designs.

Submissions can be made online at rmwb.ca/nyn until August 30, 2017.

Local businesses can also participate through the new Business Beautification Program.

Register your business online and beautify your storefront by July 17, and maintain it throughout the summer for a chance to win the Business Beautification Award.

Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom is the local chapter of the national Communities in Bloom program.

It promotes civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement. For more information about Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom, visit rmwb.ca/cib.
