The Abasand construction access road is now ready for construction equipment.
All builders and contractors working in Abasand with vehicles less than 20,000 kilograms are required to use this road.
This alternate route will improve safety for the neighbourhood and will help maintain the cleanliness by separating construction traffic from residential traffic.
Vehicles that weigh more than 20,000 kilograms will use Abasand Drive to access the community.
Residents can continue to use the existing streets.
The road has been built on the emergency access route that travels east from Abbotswood Drive to Abasand Drive, it will eventually become part of the Emergency Access Road.
Contractors and builders working are also reminded to use the construction access road in Beacon Hill at all times.
