TORONTO – Drake’s record-breaking reign on the Billboard charts is over.

Billboard says the Toronto rapper’s unprecedented run of 431 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart has ended.

The tally puts Drake ahead of his fellow rapper Lil Wayne at 326 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100, and pop superstar Rihanna at 216 weeks.

This marks the first time Drake will be absent from the Hot 100 since his smash “Best I Ever Had” entered the charts in 2009 at No. 92, before eventually peaking in the second spot.

Drake had appeared on every Hot 100 chart as either the lead artist or in a featured role — and sometimes both — ever since.

The Canadian has 157 charted titles — the most among solo artists.
