An Ontario company is supporting the rebuild in a unique way.

Airia Brands Inc., the manufacturer of Lifebreath heat recovery units (HRVs), are donating units to the NSUUR program for all uninsured or underinsured.

Lifebreath HRVs cycle fresh air into homes while removing the stale air and moisture and improving the indoor air quality.

For insured homeowners, Lifebreath is offering a $300 rebate for all units installed in rebuilt homes.

“Insurance isn’t going to cover everything people may need or want as they rebuild their homes and lives, so the rebate gives them some extra cash to work with. We really wanted to reach out and personally touch those who lost so much,” said Marco Di Cola, of Lifebreath.

Airia Brands is reaching out to builders in the community to help homeowners qualify for the rebate.

HRVs’ are becoming mandatory under building codes in Canada.
