Facilities at MacDonald Island park will be closing for annual maintenance closure and deep cleaning.
The Syncrude Aquatic Centre will be closed from Aug. 28 till Sept. 17.This maintenance is necessary to ensure efficient operations of the aquatic centre and to minimize future unanticipated closures due to unscheduled maintenance requirements.
The Fitness Centre at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre will be closed Aug. 26 and 27 to allow for deep cleaning, routine maintenance and equipment repairs.
“We appreciate the understanding of the community as we complete this annual maintenance work,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RRC. “We are committed to excellence in service delivery, and having the opportunity to ensure efficient operations at the aquatic centre and fitness centre through regularly scheduled maintenance assists us in achieving this goal.”
