Residents are invited to provide their input to help in the creation of a new Parks Master Plan.
The Municipality has developed an online survey that will allow the community to guide our parks and urban forest areas.
“We have a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the public’s expectations and needs from our parks,”
The plan will provide guidance for operations, maintenance, development and future growth of the region’s parks and urban forest areas.
Within the Parks Master Plan is the Urban Forest Strategy which will guide how the urban forest area is maintained, which trees and shrubs are selected, and the types of services that should be provided.
“We want this Plan to reflect the values and vision our residents have for greenspaces in the Municipality.”
The Plan will apply to both the Urban and Rural areas of our region, including all forested areas that the Municipality manages.
