Macdonald Island Park is prepping for the winter season.
The Fox Den Grill and Patio will be heading into hibernation and the Frosty Fox has reopened.
The last full day of operation at the Fox Den Grill and Patio will be Sunday, Oct. 15.
The Frosty Fox, located on the second level of the Suncor Community Leisure Centre next to the Fitness Centre, is now open for the season with a fresh new menu.
“The first sign that winter is here is when the Fox Den Grill and Patio closes for the season,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation. “Last year we added a new seasonal food and beverage outlet to MacDonald Island Park with the opening of the Frosty Fox, and this year the family-friendly restaurant is back with great food, cold drinks and a fantastic view of the curling ice surface. ”
The Frosty Fox is open daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. The menu includes everything breakfast items to desserts, and a children’s menu is also available. The full menu is available online here.
