Eighth annual anti-bullying show

The Annual Anti-Bullying Show is Saturday, Oct. 28.

Massey Whiteknife started the show eight years ago.

“I wanted to come out in my business and I thought what better way than to put on an anti-bullying show and let people know that bullying is happening in the boardroom, in the schools and at home,” said Whiteknife.

Every year the money raised by the show is donated to a non-profit organization.

This year, the funds will go to the Fernando Foundation for Mental Health.

“The foundation focuses on bringing awareness of mental health and all of the issues through the arts,” added Whiteknife.

Whiteknife hopes, if anything, people go for a night of freedom.

“Freedom to speak, freedom to be who you are, freedom of judgement, freedom of hatred and just come together with one love,” said Whiteknife.

The show is at the Stonebridge Hotel, Diamond Ballroom and starts with a red carpet at 6 p.m., a dinner catered by World Bridge Buffet at 7 p.m. and the drag show starting around 8:30 p.m.

You’re also encouraged to dress up in a Halloween costume, prizes will be handed out for scariest costume, most original and best couple costume.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
