After serving as interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for nearly a year, Annette Antoniak has officially been appointed CAO of the RMWB.
Mayor Don Scott says that it was a unanimous decision to keep Antoniak in her role.
“We have a council team that wants to get things done. We have all been through the election and heard various things about what needs to be done and in order to be a council of action we’re going to need to have a CAO that’s committed to getting action.”
After a year of significant challenges he says Antoniak is the right fit moving forward.
“We want to have someone strong in the position and we believe that Annette is exactly that person.”
He adds they’ve already identified and had discussions about things that need to be done in the region and that town halls will be held in both rural and urban areas to continue getting feedback from residents.
Antoniak will be directly responsible for overseeing the staff and ensuring that they’re delivering on their mandates.
