Pay tickets with Toys for Tickets program

With Salvation Army shelters returning to regular hours on March 15, 2019, Major Steve Hibbs reflects on the experience he shared with staff and visitors to the shelters during the recent cold snap. Image supplied by The Salvation Army.

Tickets can be paid with new toys for the Toys for Tickets program this December.

Motorists who receive parking tickets between Dec. 1 and 15 can choose to pay their ticket for timed parking or Winter Maintenance Zones infractions with a toy donation.

New toys in original packaging, with receipts can be dropped off at the South Operations CentreĀ (140 Saprae Creek Trail) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., on Dec. 18 and 19. If the toy’s value is lower than the cost of the ticket, gift cards and a validation slip will be accepted for the difference.

All toy donations will be distributed by the Salvation Army, who will distribute them to local families in need through their Adopt-A-Family program.

Everyone is encouraged to make toy donations whether they’ve been issued a ticket or not.
