The 11th annual Shootout on the Snye returns to the community from Friday, Feb 16 till Sunday, Feb. 18 as a part of WinterPLAY.
“Since the early 1900s, residents in our region have taken to the outdoors to play our national winter sport,” said Mayor Don Scott. “I encourage hockey players of all ages to get involved in this timeless tradition and register a team!”
This four-on-four pond hockey tournament welcomes teams in all divisions starting at age 5.
Early bird registration is open now until January 19. Teams of four to six players can enter for $30 per player, and then for $40 per player until February 5, when registration closes.
If you want to be a part of the action, but aren’t ready to lace up some skates, volunteers are also needed.
