Fort McMurray native Brooke Voigt will represent team Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 24-year-old will compete alongside British Columbia’s Spencer O’Brien and Quebec’s Laurie Blouin.

The Olympics Canada website says Voigt was an alternate for the 2014 Sochi Olympics and has already hit the slopes in PyeongChang, placing in the top-10 at the big air Olympic test event.

She also finished eighth in big air in Nov. 2017, when the World Cup circuit was in Beijing.

Her last World Cup medal was a slopestyle bronze in Feb. 2017.

Mark McMorris, Max Perrot, Sébastien Toutant and Tyler Nicholson will represent the men’s team.

More to come as information is made available.
