The Wood Buffalo Economic Development Corporation (WBEDC) is looking for applications for its inaugural Board of Directors.
The board will provide leadership for the region’s economic growth strategy.
In a press release, the RMWB wrote that the board’s first steps would include forming the direction, strategy and values of the organization, as well as appointing the corporations Chief Executive Officer.
“We are looking for globally strategic thinkers that represent a variety of economic sectors key to the Region,” says Bryan Rabik, WBEDC Taskforce member. “This is an opportunity to promote the story of Wood Buffalo, while attracting new talent and investment to our community.”
Council passed a motion on Nov. 28, 2017 establishing the corporation.
