Keyano Theatre Company is bringing the Broadway hit “The Drowsy Chaperone” to Fort McMurray.

Narrator Jason Beck says the musical comedy has something for everyone.

“This show does make fun of musical theatre in a lot of ways, so if you kinda feel like ‘yea I don’t get musical theatre’ you’re going to get some good laughs.”

Beck plays “Man in Chair”, a musical theatre addict who listens to old musicals to chase his blues away, including the 1928 recording of his favourite comedy “The Drowsy Chaperone”.

Helen Killorn plays Janet, the bride-to-be who is always be chaperoned with her debonair suitor. The chaperone finds herself sleepy due to her inclination to drink, leading to undetected mischief.

The show runs at 8 p.m. Feb. 16, 17, 22, 23& 24 at Keyano Theatre.
