Registration is open for residents to take part in the Point in Time (PiT) Homeless Count to help the municipality understand the needs and circumstances of the homeless population of our community.
The homeless count will be done in conjunction with the 7 Cities on Housing and Homelessness initiative.
Volunteers will speak with individuals and offer assistance if needed. They will also ask questions to get a better understanding of the situations our homeless community faces.
Information collected allows the municipality to measure the success of programs and initiatives designed to end homelessness in the region.
The count will take place on the evening of Apr. 11 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
