Wyatt Marten, 27, has been missing from Fort McMurray since March 12 at 8:30 a.m. where he was last seen in Timberlea.

Search efforts have involved many resources including General Investigation members, Police Dog Services and members of the Fort McMurray Search and Rescue Society.

He is not wanted by police, other than to confirm his well-being. Family, friends and the RCMP would like to find him as soon as possible.

His Aunt, Tina Marten-Grant, is urging community members to keep an eye out for him and invites the community to volunteer with the search party.

“We really miss and love him, we just want him home,” said Tina.

When asked about what her nephew is like she said Wyatt is known as the Abasand friendly giant.

The Birchwood Trails, Timberlea and downtown areas have all been search without success.  Family do not believe Wyatt could be out of town since and that is most likely in search of food and shelter.

“We’re pretty sure he’s on the bush lines,” said Tina.  “If you notice anything, please call in a tip, every tip is checked out.

Tips can be submitted to Wyatt’s family to either 780-881-1646 or 780-215-6741 and if you have some spare time, join volunteer at the search party headquarters at 9909 Gordon Avenue.

There is also a Facebook page dedicated to the search.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is also asked to contact Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4040.
