Prepare yourself for delicious food and warm sunny nights, tickets for the 2018 ATCO Fort McMurray Food Festival are on sale.
This year the festival will run July 25-29th with seven events.
The majority of the proceeds of the festival will go towards Waypoints, proceeds from the Food Truck Showcase will go toward the United Way of Fort McMurray.
Krista Balsom, co-chair of the festival said one of the reasons they launched the five-day event was to support economic development.
“Our food and restaurant industry has taken a beating over the last few years and we really wanted to show case all the great talent we have in this community and all the great places we have to go eat, shop, dine and enjoy beverages,” said Balsom.
The event line-up is:
- Wednesday, July 25: Food Truck Showcase-Free admission
- Thursday, July 26: Best Pub Food Club-Tickets available online
- Friday, July 27: Annual Summer BBQ-Free Admission
- Friday evening: #WeLoveYMM Largest Outdoor Patio Party-Tickets available online
- Saturday, July 28: A Taste of Fort McMurray-Tickets available online
- Saturday evening: Boots N’ Brews-Tickets available online
- Sunday, July 29:Anzac Beach Party-Free Admission
“I love to see people out having a good time making the most of the summer here, it is gorgeous and we really get to take advantage of those long sunny summer nights,” added Balsom.
