Alexander Fyvie won $222,134 off his LOTTO MAX ticket from the draw on May 4.
Making the win even sweeter, it was off of a ticket that he won from a previous draw that he picked up at the Safeway Gas Bar in downtown Fort McMurray.
A few days after he got the ticket he scanned it on his phone using the WCLC Lottery Manager App.
“It was early in the morning, and I was really tired, I was sure I wasn’t seeing things right,” said Fyvie in a press release. “At first I thought I had won $2,200, But then I realized there were too many numbers for that to be true.”
Fyvie plans to put money away for retirement, and use some some of the winning to buy toys, a quad and side-by-side for his family to enjoy.
