Wood Buffalo RCMP are looking for more information after two separate thefts of construction equipment were reported.
The first happened between June 22 and 24, when a yellow Model 287 Caterpillar skid steer was stolen from a secured lot on 63 at km marker 204.
The second was on June 25, when a black and yellow Model 277B Caterpillar skid steer was taken from the industrial park on Highway 881.
The second one had an 8-foot snow bucket attached, and the value of both is about $40,000.
Police say they’re still figuring out if the cases are related, and are looking for information from the public.
