The province says Albertans are really taking a liking to the new 511 service.
It says it’s had 28 million web hits, 82 thousand phone calls, and almost eight thousand Twitter followers just over a month after it launched.
Dialing 511 now gets you up to date highway conditions, and the 511 website has more than 100 highway cameras as well as interactive maps.
It also says the service was particularly useful when the megaload known as modzilla came through Fort McMurray a few weeks ago.
