RCMP have helped get another crazy speeder off of Highway 63.

Police in Boyle say they clocked a car at 178 kilometres an hour in a 100 zone just north of Boyle on Wednesday afternoon.

They stopped the Ford Mustang, but it then sped away, trying to get away from the police.

The driver headed north to Fort McMurray and was stopped again 30 kilometres outside the city.

The 51-year old man from Sundre was charged with dangerous driving and fleeing an officer, as well as speeding and failing to remain stopped.

He’ll be in Boyle court in October.
