Air Quality Advisory still in effect for North Zone, lifted elsewhere

Health officials say the smoke isn’t clearing in northern Alberta just yet.

Alberta Health Services lifted the precautionary Air Quality Advisory for the Central and Edmonton zones, but it’s still in effect for the North Zone.

The advisory was issued on July 10 because of smoke and ash that blew into the region from forest fires.

AHS says air quality conditions in the Central and Edmonton Zone, improved and don’t pose a sustained, increased risk of health concerns.
