Premier Alison Redford and her B.C. counterpart Christy Clark have released a statement about working together to grow both provinces resource sectors.
A joint statement says they have formed a working group led by 2 top energy officials from each province to make recommendations related to energy exports and opening new export markets.
The Premiers stepped out of the Council of Federation meeting in Ontario to make the comment Friday.
They haven’t seen eye-to-eye on the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline from Alberta to the West Coast.
B.C. has a list of conditions it wants Alberta to meet before it’s approved which include a larger share of the royalties.
Both Redford and Clark stress that the pipeline is not the only reason for the group.
