Athabasca Oil Corporation has resumed its operations at Hangingstone following the wildfire. The 9,000 barrel per day operation shut down on May. 5, and resumed operations Tuesday. The company says there was no damage to its assets.

“The Company expects the reservoir to re-pressurise to normal operating levels over the next several weeks with no anticipated long-term impacts,” stated the company in a press release. “Athabasca will continue to work closely with the province, region and industry to monitor and manage the fire risk.”

AOC posted a first quarter net loss of $65,129 amid tumbling oil prices earlier this month.
