A group of Atlantic Liberals are here to get the full Fort McMurray experience.
The 12 of them toured the oil sands this morning, will tour the municipality this afternoon, and are basically on a fact finding mission.
The East Coast’s economy is highly dependent on Alberta, because many live and work here, and spend money on the East Coast.
They will be meeting with the municipal council and the chamber of commerce this weekend, as well as having a good down home East Coast Kitchen Party tonight at the Newfoundlander’s club.
One of the goals on their agenda is to understand the challenges associated with a fast growing community.
