B.C. puts conditions on pipeline support

The BC government has outlined the conditions it wants to see in order to support the Northern Gateway oil sands pipeline.

Unsurprisingly, it wants more money.

The province says it wants what it calls a ‘fair share’ of the economic benefits because it faces most of the environmental risk.

It also wants better oil spill response, prevention, and recovery systems.

Intergovernmental affairs minister Cal Dallas says paying BC to support the pipeline is not an option.
