The Fort McMurray Oil Barons wrapped up their exhibition schedule over the weekend, beating the Brooks Bandits and losing to Okotoks and Drumheller.

On Friday, rookie Jackson McKinstry fired home the game winner as the Barons came from behind to beat Brooks 5-4.

The Barons found themselves down 3-1 after 1, before Shawn Weber, Adam Durkee, and Mitchell Vanderlaan scored straight goals to get the MOB back in it.

Goaltender Zach Fortin stopped 42 of 46 shots to pick up the win.

And on Saturday, the Barons were shut out 1-0 by Curtis Skip and the Drumheller Dragons.

Rookie goalie Michael Barabash made 26 saves in a losing effort.

The Barons are back in action this weekend, when the regular season kicks off with back to back home games against the Drayton Valley Thunder.
