Local MLA Guy Boutilier says the provincial PCs aren’t truly committed to democratic reform. Back at the legislature this week, Boutilier says a new bill introduced to require elections every four years somewhere within a three-month period isn’t a real fixed election date, like the one that was proposed by the Wildrose Party.
The government also introduced bills to give landowners more options when their property is required for infrastructure projects, and a bill to make the Health Quality Council more independent while it investigates the healthcare system.
