BP is looking at expanding back into the oilsands.
The British energy giant is hoping to start growing again, and CEO Christina Verchere tells Postmedia the oil sands are a logical place for the company to be.
It had to sell off all its Canadian production and half its oil sands leases to raise money after its Gulf of Mexico spill two years ago.
It’s already investing a billion dollars a year in three joint venture projects.
The company is also planning to sell out of a joint venture in Russia; and that money could be reinvested in Canada.
