Brad & Carrie To Host The 47th Annual CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the 47th annual CMA Awards on Nov. 6 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

It will be the pair’s sixth consecutive time co-hosting the event known as “Country Music’s Biggest Night.”

Fellow stars Little Big Town enthusiastically made the announcement during Monday night’s broadcast of CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock. (Watch a clip below.)

“Carrie and Brad are the consummate hosts,” Ed Hardy, president of the CMA board of directors, said in a press release. “They have the respect of our industry, artistic credibility, critical acclaim and a quick-witted, genuine rapport that makes them popular with our audience and the viewers at home. We are delighted to have them back as hosts for the sixth year.”

Based on previous experience, fans can expect to hear Underwood and Paisley sing together and poke fun at fellow country stars while at the helm of the show, which will air at on ABC (8 p.m. ET).

Paisley, 40, has won 14 CMA Awards in his career and Underwood, 30, has received five.
