Canadians split on Mulcair comments: poll

A new poll shows that Canadians are split on Thomas Mulcair’s attacks on the oil sands industry.

Harris-Decima says 45 percent of Canadians disagree with the NDP leader, while 41 percent agree with him.

Alberta and the other prairie provinces had the most opposition to Mulcair, while BC and Quebec had the most support for him.

Even in Ontario, where the manufacturing sector has been hit hardest, more people disagree with Mulcair’s claims that the industry is costing that sector jobs.

Even 56 percent of Green Party supporters think Mulcair is wrong.
